Public debate these days focuses increasingly on the challenge inequality poses to the viability of democratic governance and of our cities. Next month Taubman College of Architecture + Urban Planning digs into some of the ways that real estate development and citymaking can promote equity. For “Building Better Futures: Innovations in Equitable Development,” Marc Norman has convened experts from design, finance, and development to examine the policy mechanisms, design innovations, and financial incentives that connect communities, build wealth, and promote equity across demographics.
