This article in a special issue of the Journal of Urban History examines ways to rethink auto-centric planning policies and deploy technology to increase density in the American city. click link for the abstract and full article. The issue, Reinventing the American Post-Industrial City includes articles by 12 authors and is Edited by Pamela Karimi and Thomas Stubblefield.  The issue looks at unconventional solutions offered for reviving the postindustrial American city.
